Just like anything, you can also make excuses for not doing a boudoir session. There will always be reasons not to. But I want to talk about a few of the most popular excuses people use when they are thinking about booking a session but aren’t quite ready to pull the trigger.
Boudoir is empowering, sexy and beautiful and most importantly a session is all about YOU and loving yourself right this minute, right this second as you are. So here are the top five Bullsh!it excuses for not doing a boudoir session.
“I don’t think I would feel empowered taking off my clothes.”
Boudoir is whatever you want it to be. I have women who come in and wear a little black dress or jeans or any number of other things and never reveal a thing. Boudoir can be a little scary because it involves another level of bravery with posing in less clothing than normal for most people but that’s what makes it so powerful. I encourage you to at least give it a try! Maybe it will make you feel empowered.
“I don’t have anyone to do a session for!”
Who says a boudoir session has to be for someone else? Boudoir is all about YOU. One of the most powerful things a woman can do is realize her own beauty and get out of her own way. Treat a boudoir session like part of your self care and journey towards a more confident you.
“I don’t consider myself very photogenic.”
Every woman is beautiful and it just takes the right photographer to pull that beauty out and transfer it to a photograph. Trust me! I’ll show you what you have going on and you will get your photos back wondering who that vixen is in the photos – spoiler alert – it’s YOU!
“I don’t know how to be sexy.”
That’s okay! Boudoir doesn’t have to be “sexy.” You can make your session playful or let me guide you into those intimidating poses and I think you’ll find yourself using that word a lot when you see your gallery.
“Help! I don’t own any lingerie!”
