What to Wear – Men’s Edition

Whether it’s a couple’s session or you’re a man looking for a solo session, it’s helpful to know what looks best for your boudoir session. As with women, less is more, so things like a pair of Calvin Klein boxer briefs or your favorite pair of jeans works great. Don’t overthink it and play up your personality. Here are some tips on What to Wear – Men’s Edition so you can feel confident in your outfit choices on the big day.

Grey Sweatpants

Light grey sweatpants or dark grey sweatpants will be a hard decision here. Go with whatever you like best. These pants are very low key. Wear them shirtless and barefoot. Usually without boxer briefs underneath but both ways could create some great looks.

Calvin Klein Boxer Briefs

Calvin Klein boxer briefs are a staple for your boudoir session. I highly recommend purchasing new underwear for your session and these are just the perfect ones for your photo shoot. They come in all sorts of colors and you could really work with whatever color fits your personality best.

Casual Shirts

Shirts such as this blue short sleeve shirt or this long sleeve green shirt would look amazing for men who have blue or green eyes especially but don’t let your eye color stop you from bringing something like this to your session. Pair with jeans or boxer briefs

Button Ups

Any kind of button up, whether it’s flannel, solid color or a business button up – always a great choice. Usually best to have it be a long sleeve button up. Get creative and choose patterns and colors that reflect your personality. This is a great chance to match your partner if you are doing a couple’s session by choosing a button up that has a color similar or the same as a piece of lingerie your partner is wearing. Pair with jeans or boxer briefs and no shoes.

Jeans

Pretty self explanatory. Jeans are always a great option. Pair them with literally all of your outfits – Calvin Klein boxer briefs, shirtless, button up, etc. Such a great look that will also go with anything your partner wears if you are doing a couple’s session.

Naked

And as always, I highly recommend ditching all the outfits for just your birthday suit. Tasteful nudes, implied nudity with sheets or somewhere in between – the option is always there at the end of the session to get a little steamy! These photos are great for couple’s sessions or even your solo session.

Mini Group Brand Ambassador Session One of my Brand Ambassadors came up with this paint idea. While I was slightly apprehensive at first because of the potential mess, it ended up being so much fun and some really playful photos came out of it. Not to mention, I’m pretty sure they all had a blast […]

Group Session The summer river boudoir session with my Brand Ambassadors is another favorite group session. Summer River Boudoir Session

Group Brand Ambassador Session There are only a few times in my photography career where I stumble upon a location that absolutely makes me freak out in excitement. This bridge is one of them. I stumbled upon it by accident, at first thinking it was too narrow, too dark, to get anything good. Boy was […]
